Anna Marie Stenberg

Anna Marie Stenberg , age 96 formerly a long time resident of Edison Park area in Chicago passed away on March 25, 2023, 2023. 

Anna Marie was born on October 17, 1926 in Prairie Farm Wisconsin to the late Peter and Elizabeth (nee Wiseman) Peterson.  On April 15, 1950, Anna Marie married the love of her life, Clarence I Stenberg, who preceded her in death on September 18, 2014. Together they have three sons:  John, Peter (Kay) of Crown Point, Indiana and Paul (Sheila) of Naperville, Illinois; along with four grandchildren: Kristina Vanderwoude (Nick), Erik Stenberg (Michelle), Kathryn Stenberg and Alyssa Stenberg.  She also had 3 great grandsons: Gram Vanderwoude, Levi Vanderwoude and Finn Stenberg. 

Anna Marie loved living in Chicago and worked most of her adult life as a secretary.  She really enjoyed sunbathing, sewing, baking and cooking.  Her mother, Elizabeth Peterson (Lizzy), lived with her and Clarence during most of their married life helping take care of their boys and do anything else she could until she passed away in 1975.   

Visitation Sunday, April 2, 2023, from 12:00-m until the time of funeral service which will begin at 2:00 p.m. at M.J. SUERTH FUNERAL HOME, 6754 N. Northwest Highway, Chicago.  Interment at Vanceburg Cemetery, Prairie Farm, Wisconsin.  In lieu of flowers, memorials an re appreciated to the John R. Stenberg Trust.
