Don McBride

Donald J. McBride, 96, of Edison Park. U.S. WWII Navy veteran. Beloved
husband of the late Helen M. McBride, nee Linne. Cherished father of
Melody (Todd) Steffen. Proud grandfather of Kyle, Brendan, Grace, and
Ellie. Dear son of the late Joseph and Helen Mc Bride. Loving brother of
Joan (the late “Jack”) Gaul, the late Dorothy Baker, Helen Devoy, Dolores
Watkins, Marjorie Cairo, Marilyn Rhode, Ruth Malone, Carol Reichart and
Kenneth McBride. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Don was a very active member of the St Juliana Parish, member of Men’s
Club, Past president of the Friendship Club, an usher, and Minister of Care.
Visitation Thursday, August 31, 2023, at the M J Suerth Funeral Home,
6754 N. Northwest Hwy., Chicago from 4 – 8 pm. Funeral Friday 9:30 am
prayers at funeral home to St. Juliana Church where Mass will be
celebrated at 10:00 am. Graveside interment with Military Honors at Maryhill Cemetery.
