Donald E. Zimmer, 83, of Park Ridge at peace April 11, 2023. Beloved husband for 60 years of Irene nee Alwin. Loving father of Donna (Ed) Samano and Dave (Lisa). Proud grandpa of Edward Jr., Michelle (Mike) Dula, Billy, Christian, Sebastian, Matthew, and Bella. Great-grandpa of Laura Margaret. Dear son of the late Edward and Laverne nee Stone. Fond brother of the late Delmar, Robert, and Margaret Sawyer. Brother-in-law of Rosemary Zimmer and the late Edmund (Janet) Alwin. Uncle and friend of many.

Talented plumber, a longtime employee of the City of Park Ridge and enthusiastic golfer.

Visitation Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at the M J Suerth Funeral Home,6754 N. Northwest Hwy., Chicago from 3-8 pm.

Funeral Wednesday 9:30 am prayers at funeral home to St Paul of the Cross Church where Mass will be celebrated at 10 am. Interment All Saints Cemetery. Memorials appreciated to The Evans Scholars Foundation at www.wgaesf.org
