Elizabeth A. Wilson Obituary

Elizabeth "Liz" Wilson, 84, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2024. Preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Rita nee Cosgrove Skoglund and brother James Skoglund. Survived by her husband of 54 years Jack D. Wilson Sr. and two beloved children Kerry Wilson of Prescott, Arizona and Jack D. Wilson Jr. of Chicago, Illinois.  
Elizabeth was a longtime Chicagoland resident who retired to Arizona, enjoying her term as first lady while her husband Jack served as Mayor of the City of Prescott. Liz worked as a real estate broker and investor while championing historic preservation in the Old Irving Park neighborhood. She helped found both the OIPA and Irving Park Historical Society. In her leisure time she was an avid collector of American art glass and pottery.


Visitation Thursday June 27, 2024, 4-8 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 6250 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago. Funeral Friday 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
