It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Virginia Ann Evert, who left this world after a heroic fight on March 2, 2026, at the age of 81. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband T.J. and loving parents Mary and Ardell Sutton. She is survived by her children Dana (Brett) Huelat, Rory Evert, Skeeter (Ashley) Evert. Her cherished grandchildren Anthony, Mia, Sierra and Mackenzie. Her lifelong friends and close knit group of cousins.
Ginny was an art, music and book enthusiast known for her passion for life and words of wisdom . She fought tirelessly and gracefully never hesitating to be present and support her family and friends. Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the gift of Ginny’s life — a life marked by loyalty, bravery, and zest for life. Her legacy lives on in every story shared, every lesson remembered, and every act of kindness inspired by her example.
Visitation Sunday, March 8, 2026, 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Heneghan-Suerth Directors, 6250 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago. Family and friends will meet Monday at 9:45 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Juliana Church. Interment will follow at Maryhill Cemetery, Niles.
