Gloria I. Lucke

Gloria I. Lucke nee Mydlach, at peace March 22, 2025 surrounded by her family.  Gloria's life was a bed of roses, she loved life each and every day of her 92 years.  Born to John (Jack) and Helen Thode Mydlach on August 25, 1932.  She married the love of her life Werner Lucke, on October 9, 1954.  They shared a love like no other and spent their time traveling, camping, watching their Cubbies, get away weekends with the Bundt and anything that would give them family time with their 3 children.

A mom who was cherished and will be sorely missed by her girls- Kathy (Wayne) Stachura and Stacy (James) Gatz.  Loving and Best Grandma to Amanda Nicole and Maggie Rose Gatz, they were her world and her girls.  Loving grandma, great grandma, and aunt to many.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Werner, son Scott Alan, parents John & Helen Mydlach, adored by her in-laws Herman and Ella Lucke, and many friends and family. 

Biggest cheerleader for her kids in everything they did in their lives and strived for them to always do their best.  Thanks Mom we love you!

Gloria's family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Illinois Cancer Center and Residential Hospice. 

Visitation Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral service 12:00 p.m. at Edison Park Lutheran Church, 6626 N. Oilphant Ave., Chicago, Il 60631.  Cremation will be private.
