Helen was born on November 16, 1932, in Chicago to parents Paul and Constantina Demomargo. She was raised in a close loving family and Macedonian community. God and family were central in her life. She married her high school sweetheart, Ross Cunningham in 1954. She attended Taft high school and Wright College in Chicago. After college she worked as a stewardess for TWA until she married. She and Ross were inseparable until his passing in 2017. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and love of gardening and was an amazing cook and entertainer. Her smile was always present and she had a laugh that was unique to her. Her home was a place of comfort and peace. Her door was always open.
Helen is survived by her three children, Kathleen Conder (George), Sandra Cooper and Brian Cunningham (Marilyn) and is predeceased by her son in law, Blair Cooper. She has 7 grandchildren, Brie Anne Conder, Ty Conder (Kate), Lucie Ivanov (Metodi), Nikki Cooper, Callie Haugen (David), Angela Cunningham, and Taylor Cunningham. Lauren, Timothy, Rowan, Phoenix, Kiara, Grey, Ben and Bowen are her great grandchildren. Parker, the newest member, will make his appearance this Spring. She was the happiest when surrounded by family and friends.
Helen passed peacefully in her home after a short illness as was her last wish. Our greatest comfort at this time is knowing she is earning a well-deserved rest and reunion with her loved ones. She will be greatly missed.
