Joan Cowen, nee Buitkus, 84. Beloved wife of the late Philip C. Cowen, Jr. Loving mother of Philip (Sarah), Matthew (Elaine) and Theresa (Christopher Sauve) Cowen. Adoring grandmother of Madeline, Carter, William, James, Sylvia, Wesley, Joan and Benjamin. Dear sister of Sonia Avgerin. Dedicated teacher, collector of treasures, and cherished friend of many.

Memorial Visitation Wednesday August 10, 2022 from 9:30 AM until the time of Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Padre Pio Church (St. Hilary) 5600 N California, Chicago.
