Linda Paukert

Our beloved Linda Louise Paukert, nee Aykroid, 76, of Niles, Illinois, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025 after a long battle with dementia.

Born in Chicago, Illinois on April 28, 1949 to Benjamin and Catherine (Biggie) Aykroid. She was the quintessential mother, wife, and friend. She loved to host large extended family gatherings in her home. She enjoyed attending sporting events, especially those of her children and grandchildren.  She embodied the word selfless, always putting the needs of others before her own.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years Frank Paukert Sr., retired CFD Paramedic, of Niles, Illinois, her 3 children Frank Paukert Jr. (Jackie) of Land O’ Lakes, Wisconsin, Jeanette (Paukert) Wehrenberg of Walpole, Massachusetts, and Andy Paukert (Rebecca) of Chicago, Illinois. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; Walter, Murray, Payton, Xavier, May, Henry, Jack, Joseph, and Emily.
Linda was preceded in death by her 4 siblings Patricia (Aykroid) Vito, Tom Aykroid, John Aykroid, and Kathleen (Aykroid) Brander.
