Linda Marie Sullivan

Linda Marie Sullivan, was called home by our Lord, on Thursday, November 23, 2023, at the age of 61. Born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in the St. Wenceslaus Parish and attended Madonna High School. Linda spent many summers on a farm in Derry Brien, County Galway, Ireland. There she had many cousins and aunts who lived on farms where she gained a great appreciation for rural life, animal husbandry and the Irish culture.

Linda was a beautiful soul who dedicated her life to others. Her first job was a lifeguard at North Ave Beach. Linda became a surgical nurse and was experienced in other fields of nursing. She has worked off the grid on Native American Tribal lands improving dialysis healthcare for patients, Children’s Camps and performed endless hours of surgeries in the Mayo Clinic and various other hospitals. Linda spent much of her life as a traveling nurse and eventually settled in Phoenix, Arizona. She was an Air Force Veteran and continued to serve in the Reserves. Linda volunteered much of her time to animal rescue, she was passionate about the well-being of all animals. Paradise for Linda would be, to cross over the "Rainbow Bridge" to be reunited with all her beloved furry friends. She was an endearing soul with a heart of gold. She extended herself to all that needed help. Linda also had a great sense of humor; she was quick witted and kept you laughing for hours. She will be dearly missed by her many siblings, nephews, co-workers and friends.  Linda is preceded in death by her loving parents Catherine (nee, Flynn) and William Sullivan. She is the loving sister of Raymond (Noreen, née Costello), Desmond (Anita Opawski), John, Maureen (Pamela Cyrnek), Brenda (Mark Koziol), Patricia (James Sliwa).  She is survived by 7 loving nephews who she cherished William, Brendan and Brian Sullivan & John Ryan Sliwa & Liam, Derek and Joey Koziol.

Visitation Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home, 6250 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago.  Family and friends are invited to meet on Monday, December 4th at Queen of All Saints Basilica, 6280 N. Sauganash Ave., Chicago beginning at 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery, in Niles.
