Obituary

Melvin C. Lemke, Sr., 93, of Edison Park. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy J. Lemke, nee Walsh. Loving father of Melvin Jr. (Jayne Byerly) Lemke, Julie (James) Staatz, Daniel (the late Rose) Lemke, the late Carolyn Sue (Paul) Donnermeyer, Larry (Lesley) Lemke, Kurt Lemke, and Joe (Barb) Lemke. Proud grandfather of Lindsey, Brittney, Stephanie, Megan, Rosie, Sarah, Lily, Matt, Nicholas and Patrick.  Great grandfather of Lydia, Jimmy, Ava, Madeleine and Zachary. Melvin proudly served with the 101st Airbourne Division from 1951 to 1953. 

Visitation Monday, September 26, 2022 from 4 until 9 PM at the M.J. SUERTH FUNERAL HOME, Peter Heneghan, Director, 6754 N. Northwest Highway, Chicago. Funeral service Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.  Interment All Saints Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the charity of your choice.
