Loving father of Bridget and Rebecca Thornton. Loved by Dana and Douglas Banicki and Tim Barabas. Loving Pops of Ronald and Eleanor. Dear brother of Judy Lewis, Sherron (the late John) Lamka, Blanche (Jim) Pistorio and the late Bud (Kim) Thornton. Loving brother-in-law of Barabara and Zdzislaw Nagengast and Joy and Ed Dubowski. Proud member of Plumbers Union Local 130. Longtime employee of the City of Chicago.

Visitation Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at the M J Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N Northwest Hwy., Chicago from 1-8 pm. Family and friends meeting 9:30 am, Wednesday, June 7, at St Elizabeth of the Trinity, (St Tarcissus), 6020 W. Ardmore, Chicago. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at Norwood Park Home Cemetery, Niles, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
