Paul Edward Swanson

Paul E. Swanson, 82, of Edison Park, at peace May 1, 2024. Beloved husband of Inge nee Otto for 60 loving years. Loving father of Scott and Eric (Melissa Wylie). Dear son of the late Alice nee Bergst and George. Fond brother of John (Mary Kay) and the late Richard (Karin). Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Cherished friend and neighbor of many.

Paul was a graduate of Lane Tech class of 1959 and Illinois Institute of Technology class of 1963.

After a nearly 30 year career with the Chicago Transit Authority in various postions of civil engineering and project management, Paul went on to work as a consultant on many engineering projects across the country.

He developed a passion for golf at an early age and played avidly for nearly 70 years; inspiring his son Eric to become a PGA professional.

Memorial visitation Friday, May 24, 2024, 10:00 a.m. until time of service 12:00 p.m. at Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Peter Heneghan, Director, 6250 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago. Interment private.
