Philip J. Flavin

Philip J Flavin, 77, passed away on February 6, 2025, while in Hospice care in Palm Harbor, Florida.  Philip was the first born son of Thomas and Dolores (nee Thomas) Flavin. He is survived by his sister Kathryn Hynds (the late Harry), brother Patrick, sister Peggy Tameling (the late Steve), younger brother the late Gerald (Sandy).

Philip lived a very active life despite being a paraplegic polio victim.  His final years he suffered with post polio syndrome.  He was a respiratory therapist for adults and in later years the NICU unit at Children’s Memorial. He was an amazing dart player and an avid reader.

Visitation will be Monday February 24, 2025 at 10:00 am with Mass to follow at 11am at Saint Juliana Church, located at 7201 N. Oketo Av, Chicago , Illinois 60631.   Burial will be private.
