Shirley Bernat, 87, at peace with Christ on October 17, 2023. Beloved daughter of the late Agnes nee Deering and Alex Bernat. Dear sister of the late Kenneth Bernat. Fond cousin of Sr. Patricia Ann Koschalke. She is survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends who will miss her dearly.
Shirley was a proud resident of the City of Chicago, a faithful parishioner of St. Constance Catholic Church and a longtime employee of Edison Park Lutheran Church. She was a talented seamstress, an enthusiastic crafter, and a passionate cook who enjoyed sharing her creations with family and friends, who always received a special card from Shirley on their birthdays.
Visitation Wednesday, October 25, 2023, 10:15 am until the time of the funeral mass 11 am at St Constance Church 5843 W Strong Chicago. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles.
