Sun Poy "David" Young Lai, 73, of Norwood Park passed away February 8, 2023. U.S. Army veteran. Beloved husband of Mary Young Lai, nee Lee. Loving father of Vanessa (James) Schneider and Jonathan Young Lai. Proud grandfather of Lucas Schneider. Devoted son of the late Ken Joe and Siu Han (Moy) Young-Lai. Dear brother of Sun Kee (Li) Young Lai, Margaret ( Howard Yersky) Young Lai, Catherine Deal, Lucie Young-Lai and the late Sun Hee Young Lai. Fond uncle of Matthew, Kevin

The funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 18, 2023. Family and friends gathering at the M J Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N. Northwest Hwy., Chicago from 10:00 am until time of funeral service with Military Honors at 12:00 pm.
