William L. Kugelman, 88, retired CFD Battalion Chief, former President of Firefighters Union CFFU, Local 2, went to be with the Lord on March 31, 2023. Always loving father of Elizabeth (Kevin) Reynolds and the late John Kugelman, I.S.P. Loving Papa of Matthew Ryan, Sean Kevin, Connor Michael and Grace Elizabeth. Caring brother of the late Sharon Woodall.
Chicago firefighter for 47 years. Chairman of the 1980 strike and Father of the Brotherhood of the Barrel and member for over 50 years. Past Grand Knight of St. Florian Council 12-911 of Knights of Columbus.

Visitation Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 4 - 8 pm at the M J Suerth Funeral Home 6754 N. Northwest Hwy., Chicago. Funeral Wednesday, 11:00 am prayers at funeral home to St. Juliana Church , 7201 N. Oketo, (at Touhy). Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am. Interment Rosehill Cemetery, Chicago, at the Local 2 Firefighters Monument.
